Getting started
A short guide for workspace owners setting up Tessaline for a team.
1. Create a workspace
Name the workspace after the project and pick a folder template: a blank workspace, an engineering layout with models, drawings and reports, or a media layout with sources, exports and deliverables. Templates only create folders; they can be renamed freely.
2. Invite members
Add colleagues by email and give each a role. Editors can change files, reviewers can read and comment, and owners also manage members and settings. Roles apply per workspace.
3. Choose sync settings
Each member decides which folders stay on their own device. Large archives are usually left online-only; active folders are pinned so they open instantly and keep working offline. Sync runs through the desktop client, which is offered for macOS, Windows and Linux from the workspace settings page.
4. Share with guests
Select a folder, choose read-only or upload access, and set an expiry date. Guests see only that folder. Their downloads appear in the folder activity with date and file name.
5. Storage and archiving
Storage is pooled across the organisation. When a project ends, archive its workspace: files stay searchable and downloadable, but archived data no longer counts against active storage.
